I've been making this smoothie almost everyday for the past two weeks and having it before breakfast or during the day!! It's so so good, healthy and very refreshing.
Serves: 1 (a full glass)
Time: 2 minutes
Ingredients:
1. A handful of frozen mixed berries ( I use a black forest fruits mix- it's got blackberries, black currants, sour cherries and red grapes). You can use fresh fruit and add ice if you prefer.
2. 1/2 a cup of coconut water
3. A thumbnail size of fresh ginger (finely diced before hand)
4. A good squeeze of lemon juice (lime is great as well)
That's it! It requires only four ingredients and is so so delicious.
Just add the frozen fruit and ginger to your smoothie bowl, and fill with coconut water till the fruit is covered.
I like quite a thick smoothie so I don't add more than this amount of coconut water- if you prefer it more runny then just add more liquid to suit your liking.
Blend for around 1 minute till there are no lumps.
